PS3 exclusive Until Dawn was first announced at Gamescom 2012, and takes the form of a teen-based horror not unlike Hollywood slashers such as Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer. However, in December 2013 it was rumoured to be cancelled.
Now, it seems, things are back on track following news that Sony has recently trademarked Until Dawn with the United States Patent Office. What we don’t know is whether Sony intends to continue development of the game with PS3 and PS Move in mind, or whether it will now focus on PS4.
Until Dawn takes place in a remote location, where a number of students visit the scene of the disappearance of a group of friends some years before. However, in typical teen fashion, the killings soon begin, and it’s up to you to discover who is slowly picking off your group by playing from the perspective of multiple characters.
Until Dawn is said to utilize PlayStation Move to its full potential, with gamers aiming the device as a flashlight and means of navigation through the darkness.
