Cellar Door Games has announced a release date for Rogue Legacy, an indie title which sees players attempting to conquer a magical castle. The game is set for release on July 29 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.
Working in collaboration with Abstraction Games, Cellar Door Games brings a “rogue-lite” side-scroller where players must conquer a magical castle as its layout constantly changes. Every time the player dies his children succeed him, carrying over all the money that the last character owned giving them an advantage. Another interesting change is each descended will start as a different class, ranging from wizards, ninjas, and knights.
The game comes with a plethora of features, the first being Cross-Buy between all three PlayStation platforms along with Cross-Save functionality. All the games patches and extra DLC content that released on the PC will come packaged right from the start along with eight different language translations a specific Vita control scheme and a shiny platinum Trophy. Unfortunately, no price was revealed but the developer said it will retail for around the same price as its PC counterpart.
