Naughty Dog confirms 30fps option for The Last of Us: Remastered

on 17 July 2014

The developer behind The Last of Us: Remastered has confirmed that players can lock the action at 30fps.

Speaking on Twitter, Naughty Dog’s Evan Wells revealed that the decision to include the feature wasn’t down to technical issues, but rather as a result of requests from fans who wanted an experience closer to the PS3 version.

“We included it at the request of the purists who wanted the experience as close to the original (PS3) as possible,” said Wells.

Elsewhere, it was also confirmed that the PS4 makeover of last year’s critically acclaimed action-adventure will feature a photo mode, similar to that of inFAMOUS: Second Son.

The Last of Us: Remastered features enhanced 1080p visuals running at 60fps, and includes all available DLC from the PS3 original. DualShock 4 functionality has also been added.
