Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts 3 storm Famitsu's Most Wanted top 5

on 28 July 2014

Square Enix powerhouses Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 have both secured top 5 positions in Famitsu’s Most Wanted list (via GamingBolt).

While we’ve not heard much on either game for some time now, that hasn’t done much to stunt Japanese gamers’ enthusiasm for both titles.

Quite the contrary in fact, as Kingdom Hearts 3 reached number five on the chart, while Final Fantasy XV hit three. An impressive feat we think you’ll agree, but more so due to the fact both games beat out fellow heavy hitters such as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Bloodborne.

It wasn’t quite enough to topple Persona 5 though, which takes the top spot -- hardly a surprise given the brand’s mass appeal in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 were both unveiled during Sony’s 2013 E3 press conference, though little else has been shown since. Unsurprisingly, we’re still no closer to a release date, either.
