Take-Two has announced that Evolve, the upcoming multiplayer-based shooter from Left 4 Dead developer, Turtle Rock Studios, has been delayed until February 2015.
Speaking in a press release, the publishing powerhouse said the game has been pushed back to undergo extra polish in order to allow the title to reach “its absolute optimum state” for launch.
Take-Two chief Strauss Zelnick described February as an “absolutely terrific” time to launch the game, and believes Evolve will benefit from sales of next-generation consoles during the holiday period.
The game was originally scheduled to ship for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One in October. Read our recent hands-on impressions of the game here.
