GTA V PS4 possibly delayed into 2015 -- report

19 August 2014

The PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One versions of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V may be delayed until 2015, speculates CVG (via ibtimes).

Producer and Editor, James Jarvis, argues that the absence of any previews on the crime opus, coupled with the fact we’re already in August, means a delay is looking all the more likely for the hotly anticipated title.

“If it’s gonna be this year, you want to build the hype up a good few months before the game comes out, and there isn’t much of the year left,” said Jarvis. “If the previews don’t happen really soon, there’s a possibility we won’t be seeing ‘GTA 5’ on new-gen, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, until next year.”

“If we take a look at the dates when we went to see the game before it was released, the first clue was on Jan. 31, 2013, a full eight months before the game came out,” he added.

Regardless of when the game hits Sony and Microsoft’s latest home consoles, Rockstar is eager to make sure it blows consumers away come release day.

GTA V was released on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013. Read our review here.
