Assassin's Creed Unity release pushed back to November 11

28 August 2014

Assassin’s Creed Unity, the latest title in Ubisoft’s pseudo-historical action series, has had its release date revised to November 11 in North America and two days later in Europe.

Previously penned in for an October 28 release on North American shores, the two-week delay is to allow the developers to ‘’hone some of the details to make sure Assassin's Creed Unity is exceptional,’’ according to senior producer Vincent Pontbriand in a press release.

He adds: "We sincerely appreciate players' commitment to the game and their patience. It's just a couple more weeks. And it's going to be worth it."

The delay frees up October just a tad, which is already brim-packed with some tasty releases such as Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and DRIVECLUB. Delays almost always have a distinct silver-lining, so two weeks shouldn’t rub anyone the wrong way, hopefully.

The announcement does not effect Assassin’s Creed Rogue’s release date, which is still set for the same date as Unity.
