Far Cry 4 to sell 6 million in first year, says Ubisoft

Speaking during its latest financial call overnight, Ubisoft said it expects Far Cry 4 to sell six million copies during its first year on sale.

The French publisher also predicts sales of two million units for its upcoming open-world racing title, The Crew, during the same time frame.

For comparison, Far Cry 3, which was released in November 2012, managed to flog six million copies in its first year on sale. The open-world action-adventure title has gone on to sell 10 million units to date.

Elsewhere, Ubisoft confirmed that critically polarizing actioner, Watch Dogs, has shipped a total of nine million units since its launch in May 2014.
