The biggest challenge facing Project Morpheus is getting consumers to experience VR gaming in the first place, Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS), has revealed.

Speaking with OPM in regards to what major issues the upcoming VR headset faces, Yoshida-san replied:

"Getting people to experience VR. Unless you experience it, you don't know what you're missing. So that's the challenge. Having many companies like Oculus trying it out is a great thing. We're helping each other to get more people to experience VR, so it's benefitting everyone."

As reported yesterday, the executive admitted that he'd like to see P.T., the demo for Silent Hills from Konami, hit Project Morpheus at some point.

Project Morpheus is due out in the first half of 2016, with no plans for a wireless version of the headset in the pipeline.
