According to well-known industry insider, 'Tidux,' the PS4 version of the hotly anticipated Star Wars Battlefront will run the game at a higher resolution than its Xbox One counterpart.
Speaking on Twitter, the tipster seemingly confirmed the news in a cheeky comment regarding the fact Battlefront will be playable first on Xbox One:
Rather play a game with higher resolution then a week early ;)
— Tidux (@Tidux) April 14, 2015 Elsewhere, he also revealed a little more about the game's development, confirming the PC as the lead platform for the science-fiction shooter.
Lead platform as i understand it is PC and then PS4 last Xbox One. Dice really has something special on the way #StarWarsBattlefront
— Tidux (@Tidux) April 14, 2015 Star Wars Battlefront is due out on PS4, PC, and Xbox One this holiday season to coincide with the release of the next Star Wars film, The Force Awakens. The first gameplay trailer for the title will drop later this month.
Unlike the majority of EA's multiplatform releases, Star Wars Battlefront will be a current-generation exclusive release.
