PS4 and Xbox One differences are ‘not that important,’ says Spiders boss

The technical differences between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are ‘not that important,’ according to the CEO of Spiders, Jehanne Rousseau.

Speaking with GamingBolt, Rousseau touched on the ‘subtle’ differences between Sony and Microsoft’s platforms, making it clear the studio’s goal is to provide the best experience possible at 1080p.

Honestly the differences are not that important. They are present, it’s true, but we are very far from the technical difficulties we usually faced with a cross platform title on the previous generation. There may be subtle rendering difference between the two platforms but that seems unlikely. Our objective is really to offer the maximum of details in 1080p. And it’s unthinkable for us to go back to 720p.”

Spiders is currently working on the PS4 and Xbox One title The Technomancer, which is currently pencilled in for a 2016 launch.

Grip Games also recently touched on the technical prowess of both formats, claiming that both systems are ‘nearly identical.’
