According to a report on Digital Foundry, the PlayStation 4 version of the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront runs at a 'very stable 60fps.'
While noting there are a few hiccups in the sci-fi shooter's , the tech wizards said that "what we have here is basically a very stable 60fps. It's not perfect - there are duplicates popping up here and there in select situations - but the overall level of performance is remarkably stable here, a far cry from Battlefield 4."

Digital Foundry added that there's a noticeable leap in terms of performance when compared to the E3 demo and even the October public beta (the latter of which attracted over nine million gamers), saying Battlefront is on par with Metal Gear Solid 5 and Halo 5 in terms of its performance. While it did manage to mix it up with 30 players during a battle, the analysis noted that it wasn't able to get into a 40-player skirmish.
Star Wars Battlefront is out in the U.S. tomorrow and hits Europe on Friday. As previously reported, Star Wars Battlefront is expected to run at 900p on Sony's current-generation console, although an official resolution has yet to be confirmed by developer DICE. The game is now pre-loading on PS4 for those who pre-ordered the hotly anticipated shooter, allowing you to get in on the action as soon as the game is released tomorrow in North America. In addition, there's a day-one patch waiting for you when you boot up the game.
Star Wars Battlefront is a multiplayer-focused title and as such will not implement a single-player campaign, with players able to compete in massive online battles for up to 40 participants. Battlefront will allow gamers to switch between a first and third-person perspective as they see fit, as you wage war as either a Rebel or Imperial Stormtrooper across several iconic Star Wars locations including Hoth, Endor, Tatooine and Jakku. In addition, DICE is also giving players the chance to play as a number of iconic characters from the series, such as Halo Solo, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Princess Leia.
