The most pointless (yet undeniably cool) marketing project of the year so far has to go to Far Cry Primal for this carving of a PlayStation 4 and DualShock 4 controller.

Commissioned by Ubisoft and created by stone mason, Nick Roberson, the idea of the sandstone sculpture is to highlight that Ubisoft’s upcoming action adventure, Far Cry Primal, is set in the Stone Age era.

“This project was undertaken to highlight the vast landscape and rich setting of the Stone Age era in Far Cry Primal,” commented Tom Goldberger, Senior PR Manager at Ubisoft. “Nick has managed to immortalize, in stone, the beautiful, elegant designs of these iconic items with unbelievable accuracy.

We’re sure you’d all want this masterpiece on your coffee table, or under it to prop up that wonky leg, but sadly there’s no mention of the carving being up for sale.

You can watch the master carver at work on YouTube.

Far Cry Primal launches on PS4 and Xbox One on February 23, 2016. Check out the latest trailer.
