New information on the upcoming Call of Cthulhu is likely to drop in the not-too-distant future, according to a series of images posted on NeoGAF.
As you can see via the link, the game has clearly been recently showcased to select press, suggesting that Focus Home Interactive is gearing up for some sort of info landslide very soon. Not only that, but the publisher has also launched the official website for the game this week.
Sadly there’s not much to look at right now, although you can sign up for a newsletter to keep you informed of the latest goings-on. However, it’s a sure indication that Call of Cthulhu fans will be treated to some new info soon enough.
Interestingly, it has also been confirmed that Frogwares, the studio responsible for the Sherlock Holmes video games, is no longer collaborating on the project, with Focus now teaming up with Cyanide Studios instead.
Details on Call of Cthulhu have been scarce to say the least since the game’s unveiling back in 2014, with the project currently still in heavy development for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One.
The original Call of Cthulhu, which is based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft, was released on the PC and Xbox back in 2005. Developed by Headfirst Productions, the first-person survival horror title takes place in the year 1922 and is noted for its omission of the HUD, forcing players to pay close attention to their character’s condition by visual and aural alerts.
Stay tuned to PSU for more details as they break.
