If a slip-up on the PlayStation Store is to believed, this year’s Call of Duty by Infinity Ward is fittingly named “Infinite Warfare.” A screenshot of the PlayStation Store posted on Reddit shows a left column category titled “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.” Kotaku confirmed seeing the same leak.
Earlier today, gaming personality Jim Sterling tweeted the new Call of Duty’s unveiling will happen next Tuesday with the game being listed at retailers and a picture of presumably a retailer’s document.
The next Call of Duty will apparently get unveiled by next Tuesday. Getting listed in retailers at any rate. pic.twitter.com/eYnVX5spdh— Jim Sterling (@JimSterling) April 26, 2016
Previous insider rumors stated the next Call of Duty will be set in the distant future and feature combat in outer space.
2016’s Call of Duty game is being developed by Infinity Ward. The previous entry by the studio was 2013’s Call of Duty: Ghosts.
