The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine out May 31, features over 30 hours of new content

The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine will be released on May 31, 2016, developer CD Projekt RED has announced.

Blood and Wine is a major expansion pack for 2015’s critically acclaimed fantasy-RPG, and packs in over 30 hours of gameplay spread across more than 90 quests and 14,000 new lines of dialogue.

The realm of Toussaint features a whopping 40 new points of interest for players to uncover in the new adventure, plus 30 new weapons, 100 individual new armor pieces, 20 fresh creatures to battle, and 12 new mutations.

Blood and Wine will, however, be the last piece of content that will be released for The Witcher 3, with CD Projekt RED wanting to focus on its next project once the expansion is done and dusted.

The game is the final instalment in the trilogy focusing on the exploits of Geralt of Rivia, although not necessarily the last entry in the franchise. Wild Hunt was a critical and commercial success, picking up rave reviews and shipping nearly 10 million copies worldwide as of March 2016.

Blood and Wine will be the second expansion for the dark fantasy romp, following on the heels of Heart of Stone in October 2015.
