Spider-Man was announced exclusively for PS4 at E3 2016, and takes the form of an open-world action-adventure set in New York City. Players control a more experienced version of the iconic Web-slinger in an all-new story that isn’t tied directly to the films or comic books. Both Spider-Man and his alter ego, Peter Parker, will be explored in the events of the game.

Players will be able to employ Spider-Man’s various powers within the game, such as web-slinging and wall crawling, while parkour will be used extensively to navigate the sprawling New York setting. Comat is also a major part of the action, with environmental scuffles also set to feature as Spidey duffs up the resident bad guys in the Big Apple.

Sony has yet to announce a Spider-Man PS4 release date.
