BioWare debuted a full-length Mass Effect Andromeda gameplay trailer at The Game Awards yesterday evening, offering over four minutes worth of in-game footage from the hotly anticipated sci-fi RPG.
The video offers a look at various gameplay sequences in Andromeda, including exploration, combat, scanning, and dialogue, and suffice to say it looks exactly how you would expect: Mass Effect, albeit with a shiny current-generation coat of paint.

Electronic Arts has yet to set a concrete Mass Effect Andromeda release date, although has confirmed the game will ship in spring 2017 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. However, a popular rumor has the game out on March 21, 2017, though this has yet to be officially confirmed.
Set 600 years after the events of the original Mass Effect trilogy, Andromeda sees gamers controlling one of the Ryder siblings, whose job as the Pathfinder is to explore new galaxies in hopes of finding a safe haven for humanity. The game also sees the return of the Mako (known as the Nomad this time around) to facilitate exploration as gamers navigate uncharted planets.
BioWare has confirmed a few new details on the game in the past few weeks, including the fact we won’t encounter all races from the original trilogy in Andromeda. In addition, it has shed light on the various side quests we’ll be able to take part in, which features epic boss battles and raiding enemy bases. In addition, the multiplayer mode will feature notable changes from its previous incarnation in Mass Effect 3.
Those of you looking to splash out on BioWare’s latest outing should probably invest in the Mass Effect Andromeda Collector’s Edition, which comes with a remote control Nomad among other goodies. Check out the latest trailer for the game here.
