Sony has announced that it will release a new 1TB PlayStation 4 bundle in Europe on March 1, 2017 to coincide with the launch of Horizon: Zero Dawn.
The bundle features a 1TB PS4 Slim console, a copy of Guerrilla Games’ upcoming action-adventure title, and a three-month subscription to PlayStation Plus. No price point has been confirmed as of yet. Sony has said that it has nothing to announce right now regarding a possible North American edition of the pack.
Horizon: Zero Dawn release date
Sony unveiled Horizon during its E3 2015 press conference, with the game originally carrying a 2016 release window. However, developer Guerrilla Games confirmed late last year that the game had been pushed back to February 28 in the U.S. and March 1 in Europe. The game is the first new IP from the Amsterdam-based studio since it launched Killzone back in 2004.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world dominated by mechanical behemoths, Horizon casts players in the role of Aloy, a season hunter who must scavenge vital components from the sprawling open-world landscape while battling against her robotic enemies. In strike contrast to Killzone, Horizon features no gunplay whatsoever, and eschews the linear nature of its Guerrilla Games stablemate.
According to Guerrilla following the game’s announcement, Horizon will clock in at 1080p/30fps on PS4. Those of you looking to splash out on the game may want to look at the Horizon: Zero Dawn Collector’s Edition, which includes a host of extra content including an Aloy figurine.
