Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a series of major changes ahead for its cloud-streaming service, PlayStation Now.

Beginning August 15, 2017, PS Now will no longer be compatible with the following devices: PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, PlayStation TV, Samsung TVs, Sony Bravia TV models from 2013, 2014, and 2015, and all Sony Blu-ray players.

In addition, Sony Bravia TVs from 2016 will be discontinued on April 1, 2017.

“After thoughtful consideration, we decided to shift our focus and resources to PS4 and Windows PC to further develop and improve the user experience on these two devices. This move puts us in the best position to grow the service even further. If you use any of the above devices, we want to give our heartfelt thanks for your support, and we hope you’ll continue with us. Remember that all of your PS Now cloud game saves can easily be accessed on both PS4 and Windows PC,” said the format holder.

Red Dead Redemption PS4 now available via PS Now

PlayStation Now allows gamers to stream a variety of PS3 games via a subscription-based model, although there have been rumors suggesting that PSOne, PS2, and PSP titles may come to the service at some point down the line. The service entered its closed beta in the U.S. back in January 2014 before receiving a full launch the following year, and currently has over 450 PlayStation Now games available to stream.

PlayStation Now is available for varying subscription fees, including a one-month plan for $19.99 or a three-month option for $44.99. In addition, you can also opt to rent games for four days, seven days, 30 days, or 90 days if you don't fancy forking out for a regular subscription. In the U.K., PS Now will cost you a monthly fee of £12.99. The PS Now games list includes a number of popular titles, such as The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, and BioShock Infinite.
