Sony has announced the return of its free PS4 multiplayer session, this time extending what was previously a weekend of gaming to a full week. This means that those of you who do not own a subscription to PlayStation Plus can engage in some multiplayer gaming free of charge for a full seven days.
The fun kicks off today and will last until Sunday, February 23 at 11.59 PST. There’s no membership required as mentioned, so you can indulge in cooperative or competitive multiplayer delights to your heart’s content during this free period. This applies to any PS4 game you want, so you aren’t restricted to specific titles.
The above applies to North American gamers only, but Sony has forgotten European players either. While it won’t be available for one week, the PS4 free multiplayer is coming to PAL regions too, from 10.00am on February 22nd until 11:59pm on February 26. Again, no PS Plus subscription is required so just pop in your favourite PS4 multiplayer game and you’ll find the online modes unlocked and ready to go.
Stuck for ideas? There’s plenty of great PS4 games to take advantage of in the free multiplayer week, such as Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, War Thunder, Sniper Elite 4, Destiny, Rocket League, and Battlefield 1.
If you’re already a PlayStation Plus subscriber, a reminder that the free PS Plus games for February are currently available to download via the PlayStation Store, and include LittleBigPlanet 3 and Not a Hero.
