Find out how to level up fast in Destiny 2 and power your way up the levels!

Grinding is part and parcel of any action-RPG, and Destiny 2 is no different. The shared-world shooter, which launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, gives you plenty of work to tuck into, whether it be increasing your Guardian’s level or power.

We’ve already covered how to farm Legendary Shards efficiently, although there’s more to the grinding process than that. Increasing your power level is one of the most important areas you’ll need to put time into, though fortunately, there’s a slightly easier way of doing it other than ploughing through missions.

This is where the mods come into play. These can be equipped on armor and weapons, and reward your character with various buffs. We’ve mentioned these already in our microtransactions story, so give it a read if you haven’t already.

Regardless of what you mean think of these ‘pay-to-win’ abilities, they do make the grinding process a little easier. The Legendary Mods are worth your attention, as they are able to boost your power level, giving you five points.

This is particularly vital when it comes to infusing items. Any gear that has a Legendary Mod attached can infuse beyond a standard match, as it’s five points higher than its regular power level.

For example, you can have a 245 piece of equipment and attach a Legendary Mod, bringing it up to 250. If you then infuse a higher level item into that gear, it’ll then add the extra five power points.

However, it’s worth noting that this does not work the opposite way. It is not possible to infuse an item with the Legendary Mod into another and get the five point bonus. You’ll actually lose the bonus points doing so.

As an example, if you have a 260 weapon with a Legendary Mod and decide to infuse a 250 weapon, the end result will be a 245 weapon, since the five point bonus will be gone.

Still, it’s a handy tool to know about in case you are looking to increase your power quickly, especially when it comes to completing high-end missions.
