As part of IGN's "IGN First" content rollout for Code Vein, developer Shift talks about the Code Vein Blood Veil system, and the benefits of "draining" your enemies of their blood. In case you didn't know, Code Vein is not only a Souls-like title, but it has you, the protagonist, be a vampire, too.
In the four-minute video, Action Director Yoichi Yoda and Lead Game Designer Yuta Yamamoto talk about how just biting the enemy to drain their blood would be "boring." There are three types of Blood Veils announced sof are: Type Ogre, Type Hounds, and Type Stinger. Each method has a unique way of drawing blood. Check out the video below to see each method in action.
We also posted 17-minutes of Code Vein gameplay which you should watch, too.
Code Vein is being developed by Shift (God Hand) and is being published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for release this 2018 on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
