Red Dead Redemption 2 news on the horizon!

Rockstar Games has confirmed that a Red Dead Redemption 2 announcement will be made next Thursday, September 28.

While no details on the event have been made available yet, the Grand Theft Auto developer confirmed on Twitter that the announcement will drop at 11.00am EST.

There’s a good chance we may see a new Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer come out of this, or even a possible release date. However, Rockstar’s keeping mum on any details, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Red Dead Redemption 2 release date delay

Earlier this week, a series of Red Dead Redemption 2 beta invites were sent out, although fortunately word quickly spread that they were nothing more than complete fabrication.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was originally due to launch in fall 2017, though Rockstar confirmed earlier this year that the game has been pushed into spring of next year. Publisher Take-Two isn’t fussed about the delay though, and reckons it doesn’t matter in the long run.

Reports have indicated that the game’s release was delayed as a result of Rockstar pushing Sony for cross-platform functionality.

The next chapter in Rockstar’s Wild West action-adventure series will likely feature more than one playable character and an emotionally-charged storyline.

It’s also been confirmed that Rockstar will be implementing an extensive online component for the game, similar to what the did with Grand Theft Auto 5.
