UK Charts: Destiny 2 holds off Project CARS 2

Destiny 2 has spent its third consecutive week at the top of the U.K. All Format Chart, fending off competition from Project CARS 2 in the process.

That’s despite the fact sales of the shared-world shooter have fallen by 47 percent week-on-week, although it was still enough to bump off Pokken Tournament DX to boot.

Publisher Activision has now claimed its 11th number one of 2017 so far, after the success of Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and now Destiny 2.

Project CARS 2 still performed well enough to cruise into second place, although its performance was notably down in comparison to its 2015 predecessor.

Elsewhere, Resident Evil 7: biohazard jumped to no.13 thanks to 152 percent rise in sales, thanks largely to retailer discounts. Fellow PS4-exclusives Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy are still managing to hang on at seven and eight, respectively.
