Not bad ,but PS3 sales should be much closer to Wii ones.360 is a big loser there and the Wii has no games,PS3 should be doing better.

PSP does some serious numbers but it cant outsell the DSI ,that model is getting lots of sales due to replacement units for existing DS users ...and there are a lot of those. The PSP doesnt have a chance of outselling it ,even with megahit games as FF Dissidia .

According to VGchartz.com, the 360 is ahead of the PS3 by 7.67 million units worldwide.  And the PS3 sold 26,200 more units than the 360 in Japan this week.  Doing the math, and ignoring other markets, it will still take approximately 292+ weeks for the PS3 to catch the 360 in sales.

Let's not get too excited just yet.  We still have a lot of work to do.  We need to see this same kind of sales ratio in the bigger markets like the US and Europe before we can start celebrating.

Japan is a small market compared to the Europe and US markets.  Let's focus our efforts in these areas and make some big gains.  And that will only happen with a significant price drop.

Sony needs to advertise their console more.  That recent spot with the guy telling his friends about him getting a PS3 and Resistance 2 then his girlfriend comes home and forces him to watch a chick flick is a good start.  Funny commercial, hits all demographics.  And then drop the price to $299 for the PS3.  That would move some consoles, especially as we charge into 2009.
