God of War III, MAG, Uncharted 2 coming in 2009

According to a recent Sony press release, we can expect to see titles like God of War III, MAG, and Uncharted 2 launch "throughout the year."

While reminding us that Killzone 2 ships next week, Sony mentions that the launch of Killzone 2 "ushers in an unprecedented year of titles to hit the PlayStation platform throughout the year including the blockbuster exclusives Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, inFamous, MAG, Heavy Rain, God of War III and MLB 09 The Show."

While it's a bit surprising to see Kratos' latest adventure on that list, we trust that the people at SCE Santa Monica Studio will release the game when it's ready (in plainer terms, a delay wouldn't be unimaginable). Still, the idea of warring Olympus before the year's end makes us giddy inside, as does the idea of playing every single title that graces the above list. 2009 is looking mighty fine.

    When Sony mentions God Of War III coming 2009, they're in fact. Meaning the game will come 2009 at the EARLIEST! NOT AN ACTUAL RELEASE DATE!

    Iuno I see GOW3 getting delayed and MAG.. Just my opinion but 2010 seems the right year for these games.

    Hopefully they release more info or vids on MAG so we have actual proof that it will be finished by 2010

    I want to see some pics and maybe 1 video of MAG.  I just want to see that game really bad because from what it sounds like, it's going to be freakin sick.

    I really REALLY hope MAG turns out good.  I don't mind if they want to push the release date back.  It being released this year, it just seems too soon for some reason.  I want an online experience that will blow my socks off and is the most fun I've ever had.  If it takes them a few extra months to achieve that, I can wait.

    I would rather see GT5 come out this year than GOWIII. We've known the devolopment of GT5 way before GOW3 so  GT5 has been a long time in development

     only psyches me up for next year more than it did already. god of war 3 this year means exponential greatness times god of war 3 next year. that's how it should be. live and the gaming life should not allow me to get jaded.

    with god of war coming soon and as much as iv been waiting for it to come out i wouldnt mind of it came out next year.  to tell you the truth id rather the game be perfect than a bunch of crap bout how the release date was coming up so we had to sacrifice sum things, ya feel me.  and mag i havent really been to exictied bout but from wat i heard the online is amazing.  something bout you have an army, navy, and air force you can play as?  idk but sounds great.

    As much as i want MAG and God of War 3 to come out this year, I want the devs to at least take their time with it and not rush but if they feel that its ready then be my guest

     Im excited about MAG........lets just hope the devolopers learned from SOCOM and actually release the game when its has been fully done correctly. But, most of all this game boasts about 256 online players, im just hoping its not like SOCOM when u cant even get into a game

    actually i was hoping sony would release GOW 3 in march 2010 (that was/is the rumored release date) i know sony santa monica has been been working on it possible since 2006/2007 but i dont want GOW 3 to be rushed...let the devs take their time with the game & give us the most entertaining & polished experience on ps3 yet.

    I think the people who made this current socom (Confrontation) was made by a different company while the people who made the previous Socom games were making on MAG.. Iuno I could be wrong

    I can wait for GOW3, I want it to be as awesome as possible. I'll keep busy with Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, Infamous and hopefully MAG in the meantime :D

    It's true that the SOCOM: Confrontation wasn't made by the "SOCOM-Team" aka Zipper-Interactive.. MAG is Zippers first PS3 game, so I hope they deliver...

    I haven't played the new SOCOM, but it seems to be suffering from a lot of small issues...
    So I'm waiting for MAG instead..

    cool it will be amazing if those game come out in 2009 im not really sure about GOW3 though but still if it comes out this year it will be great ive been playing Street Fighter 4 for the past 2 days now and its awsome
