The elusive Gran Turismo 5 may be arriving on more than the PlayStation 3, according to SCEA hardware marketing director, John Koller.
Speaking to VG247 at the Game Developers Conference, Koller mentioned that Sony is "looking at GT5 across all platforms, just to see what makes the most sense.”
As a first party game, all platforms means anything PlayStation related. While that obviously includes the PlayStation 3, the PlayStation 2 can be counted out, leaving the PSP as the only possible platform for a second version of the game.
Gran Turismo 4 Mobile, a PSP version of Gran Turismo 4, was announced by Polyphony Digital at E3 2004. The game has had a precarious development cycle, receiving numerous delays since its debut. It makes sense that Sony and Polyphony could take what's already completed and adapt it to Gran Turismo 5, dropping the GT4 label altogether.
We expect to hear more about Gran Turismo 5 at E3 2009.
