Anybody remember Rogue Warrior? Announced back in 2006 as a 2007 release, Bethesda's first person shooter proceeded to fall into obscurity. Now well over two years later, it has ended its hibernation and stepped out into the open.
Bethesda announced today that Richard “Demo Dick” Marcinko will be voiced by the grizzly Mickey Rourke of recent 'Wrestler' fame.
“Mickey Rourke was our first choice to play Marcinko in Rogue Warrior,” said Todd Vaughn, the game's Executive Producer. “He absolutely, one-hundred percent captures Marcinko’s raw and gritty personality."
Rogue Warrior, inspired by Marcinko’s New York Times bestseller of the same name, throws you into North Korea to disrupt and dismantle a dangerous missile program. After snooping around, you uncover a conspiracy and must covertly enter the USSR to destroy a technology that could forever change the balance of geopolitical power.
Rogue Warrior is set to release on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC at the end of 2009.
