BBC reports on PS3 slim

Rumors have been doing the rounds for some time that Sony is working on a PS3 Slim, but so far the company has denied all knowledge of a new SKU.
Today, BBC News adds further credibility to the speculation by commenting on recent rumors that the PS3 Slim will make an appearance at the E3 convention this week.
The BBC writes: "The new PS3 model will be out later this year, BBC News understands."
Plenty of websites have stepped forward to claim they have inside knowledge that the PS3 Slim exists, but none as big as the BBC. It seems like it's only a matter of time before Sony announces its existence.

HAHA yeah the BBC aint the best place to be getting the news from, the amount of mistakes thay make im surprised they still actually have a news channel LOL, If the slim is true I sure hope it doesnt look like them pics we have been seeing because its looks pretty poor. Cant wait for Sony E3 show though, maybe we get to see this secret game the bbc have been talking about

That was a badly written piece from the BBC, but seriously, is cut & paste so hard to do properly?

i really dont wanna see a slim verson i like everything about the current model .... but im only one person.. i hope that the slim one doesnt have ne thing new that i dont have on my current one ..... time will tell ryte

No doubt the slim is real, I'm just wondering what kind of features it's going to have. Or better yet, what features it isn't going to have. I knew the PS3 could be slimmed down, I'm just wondering how it's going to impact the hardware. It would be really sweet if they ditched the POS cell processor in favor of one of intel's new offerings, but obviously that can't happen. The only real change I see happening is an external power supply, which is a good thing. I would buy one if they re-include BC, as I got rid of my 60gb PS3 a couple months ago.
