Capcom’s Chris Kramer has revealed that the upcoming PSP-exclusive entry in the Resident Evil series is being designed specifically ‘with the PSPgo in mind,’ though noted the game is still a long ways off.

Announced at Sony’s E3 press conference last Tuesday, the survival horror title is scheduled for release in 2010, though Kramer admitted there's ‘very little’ info available on the game at present.

"Whadda we got for you in terms of info? At this point, very little," Kramer said in a post on Capcom’s blog. “I can tell you that Capcom is working very closely with Sony on this title, as it's something that both companies have wanted on the PSP for quite some time.”

"I've managed to sneak a look at a very early game design document for this title and all I am allowed to say is: Wow. Totally different for a Resident Evil game. More in the future, promise!" he teased.

Be sure to let us know what you want to see from the game in the comments section below. As for us, we think it’s about time our old rotting friends the zombies made a triumphant return to the franchise.

    If its designed for PSP Go then that'll mean it's meant to be played in short bursts. So are we looking at an even shorter game than RE5?

     All i really want is a DMC for the PSP,it has been such a forgotten promise by Capcom as of late.

    @3: It doesn't mean that it will have to be played in short bursts, although that is possible. But the PSP Go has 16GB flash memory, right? Perfect for downloading extra content etc. Maybe RE PSP will feature downloadable episodes etc?

    I've never played any RE but the first (and it's re-release, "The Director's Cut").  Maybe it's time...

    So does this mean there will be a Go and RE bundle?

    RE5 was a joke. It was more of an ACTION GAME then a survival horror.  RE IMO is no longer a survival horror game that I grow up with.

    Let hope this new PSP version of RE go back to its roots. CAPCOM bring back the SURVIVAL HORROR of RE that I fell in love with as I was growing up.

    It's going to be download AND umd since they're selling it for both PSPs. I'm suspecting it's either going to be a full on actiongame and totally drop the puzzle elements (even though RE5 went a long way you still had to open things with keys.) or it becomes a full on silent hill style puzzle h3II.

    It the style is completely new, then it could be a way of testing the new elements and gameplay before starting to work on RE6. No need to spend millions on that game when you can test the market with a smaller version...

    If they're putting the PSP Go in mind, I can only imagine that they're talking about the size of the game when they put it up for download. The only significant hardware difference between PSPs is the lack of a UMD drive, so what else could it be?

     Lol, I love all these "designed with the PSP Go in mind" comments.  Big deal.  I'm sure my PSP 3000 with 32gb can handle anything the Go can.  What does the Go have that they are specifically pertaining to?

    Any PSP can get 16gb + of memory, not just the Go.  And it's cheaper to do on the older PSPs...

     @8

    RE5 wasn't a joke, but your right about it not really feeling like a survival horror game. Maybe it was to some, but it definately didn't live up to the other titles in the series as far as the scare factor is concerned. Regardless, I still thought it was a fun game, a bit short, but still fun.
