Left 4 Dead on PS3 rumors denied

PlayStation 3 owners were left behind when Valve released its hit zombie shooter Left 4 Dead last year. Any hopes that the follow-up would land on Sony’s console were more or less diminished by a recent comment from Valve’s Doug Lambardi.
Over the weekend, a listing for Left 4 Dead 2 on PS3 appeared briefly on the EA Website. The listing was quickly updated -- the PS3 version was removed -- leaving many PS3 owners hopeful that EA accidentally spilled the beans on a secret 'L4D2 for PS3' plan.
A comment from Lombardi to Xbox Evolved dismissed such rumors. He said, “That’s a typo. Check the trailer – ‘exclusively on Xbox 360 and PC.’”
It looks like the Left 4 Dead series will remain Microsoft exclusive, for now.

Don't care, we didn't get the original anyway. I'd have to have played the first to get the sequel. If I wanted it, I'd get a 360. Even if it was released for us, I'd never have any intention of getting it. Most of my friends that play it have it on 360, and the only people I know that would consider getting Left 4 Dead 2 will have already played it on Xbox, so they'd have no reason to jump to a better console anyway. Also, none of my friends on PlayStation would get it, so every conceivable reason to get it has just dimished. Sure, maybe one day I'll get an Xbox 360 to catch up on the many exclusives I've missed out on, but at this current moment, I'm not too bothered. Xbox has no stand out exclusives right now, the only one that ever really intersted me was BioShock, and we have it now, so I really couldn't care less.

lol how can it be exclusive if its on pc n 360,thats like saying half-life is exclusive to ps3,360 and pc lol.all this will come bk n bite valve in a55 when they dont know how to program for the ps4 cause some fat guy was to lazy to learn developing on ps3.less money for them aswell.

This has to be the biggest waste of a dvd out of any game ever made. We are not missing anything by not getting this game. I got the first one for pc and gave it away an hour later. I say thank you Valve for keeping this trash away from the ps3. You get 2 thumbs up from me for doing that.

i actually dont give a damn! The 1st time i saw this game in a shop i picked up the case, looked at the back and thought " well this looks crap " and put it back down again. and anyway I'd much rather preffer a zombie classic such as resident evil, (although the last 1 was a bit of a let down), but since this is partly to do with EA i think that kinda means dead space should have been a ps3 exclusive

AGAIN... NOT AN EXCLUSIVE IF i DONT NEED TO BUY THEIR STUPID SYSTEM FOR IT. When are people going to drop this ridiculous notion that it's still exclusive when it's still on another platform other than yours? FF14 IS NOT EXCLUSIVE, L4D2 IS NOT EXCLUSIVE. just let it go. I don't want any halfa#@ games. and there are enough games in the pipeline to not care. Ps3 has more true and good exclusives than 360 so why care. let them have their semi exclusive. if you want to play it on your PS3 so bad go get it for PC and stream it to your PS3 :P

@ 17 no MORON. FF14 is bound for PC as well. All they said at the E3 press conferance was that "when it launches PS3 will be the only CONSOLE you can play it on" it WILL be on PC.

I believe alpha was trying to say that the game can't be considered an exclusive if its available elsewhere. (Pc bound) Console wise it is exclusive to the PS-3. Let's all be civil.

Good the game wasn't that good. I didn't play the PC version but the xbox one had pretty lousy graphics and the game wasn't that fun. I had alot more fun playing cod w@w zombie mode.

seeing that you need a windows PC or a 360 tp play it it is a MS exclusive. Why people don't understand that is beyond me. Anyways after playing the 1st that had absolutely no story or true campaign PS3 only owners aren't missing out on much of anything. I would actaully wait and pick it up on steam when they run a special like they always do. I did like the 1st better then RE5 though.

WHOOOO CARES!! Like we need another zombie shoot' em up from crummy Valve anyways. If it aint gunna come, and PS3 fans hate Valve and Valve hates the PS3, Why are we clamouring for this wanna be Resident Evil (minus the suspense).
Please just letL4D2 to fall by the wayside as you can see by reading the comments, NO ONE CARES about Valve and their crummy programmers who cant do PS3 development anyways. Even if we were to get this game, we'd get a horribly sub-par experience like The Orange Box. As far as I see it, Valve will never see a penny from me (I downloaded HL1 & 2 for PC vs buying it and will do the same for L4D1 & L4D2 if I wanted them -- which I dont).
Valve is such a stale company with stale ideas, stale idiology and lacks any stretch of innovation imageinable. How many good & original types of shooters can they really make.
