First Max Payne 3 screenshots emerge

The first few screens of Max Payne 3 show us a more mature and weathered Max in a Brazilian city that appears to be, shall we say, a tropical paradise?
Max Payne 3 takes place 12 years after the events of the previous title. Rockstar Games’ third-person shooter brings Max to São Paulo, Brazil, where he’s now employed in the private sector, working for a rich local family. The screens show our rough-and-tough protagonist gunning down thugs in the slums of Brazil. We mostly have back shots of Max, but he still appears fit enough to walk around the South American city with guns blazing.

Max Payne 3 is due out for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC this fall.

first of all i've seen these pictures like 2 weeks ago and second that guy looks nothing like Max Payne it's ridiculous it's like Playing God of War 3 with Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell... i think the game could be really awsome the only problem with it it's the name...

Seriously, stop thinking that all Brazillian citys are like that, because just Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo are like that. Brazil is pretty much like USA, each region have their own characteristics, so stop thinking that we are a bunch of shantytown dwellers, because we are not.

Most all decent characters on videogames are turning older very faster nowadays...
But why Max Payne? its kinda cool seeing them turning older in sequels but like this way i dont like it...
Them why on this world Mario or Zelda are always on the same age group? XD
there are stuff i just cant understand...XD

You know the funny thing with all the ppl here sayin that "this isn't how Max payne should look like"They are ALL gonna buy it on day one,cuz let's face it it's R*,when have they EVER made a game that hasn't shifted millions of copies?That's right boys and girls NEVER.I also thought that R* would make GTAIV very gloomy when i saw the first trailer,but things have changed since then,haven't they,R* never dissappoints,and i'm pretty sure this is another AAA title coming from them.

This looks nothing like a Max Payne game. The originals were dark, oppressive stories of revenge based on film-noir type setting.

looks like... a shooter. the entire style of max payne is gone. like totally.
hope remedys absence isn't going to be to much of a problem

I would of prefered a sequal closer to the original 2 max paynes, hope we get to know what happened to max during the 12 years! I doubt this 3rd sequal will be as good as the other 2, I'll miss the darkness of max payne.
