No Tatsunoku vs. Capcom for PSN or PS3

Capcom told Videogamer.com that there will be no Tasunoko vs. Capcom release for the PS3.
Producer Ryota Niitsuma said that a port basically wouldn't be worth the effort, stating that "the game is optimized for the Wii system, especially the graphics features, so if we were to port it to PS3 or Xbox 360 we would have to make the game from scratch, and in that case we might as well just make a sequel of the series on those consoles rather than porting it."
Niitsuma also said Capcom is waiting to gauge "the reaction of the western market" to the game, suggesting that Tatsunoko vs. Capcom's sales on the Wii will determine the likelihood that a sequel or similar title will come to other platforms like the PS3.
Tatsunoko characters are from various Japanese manga series. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom sold well in Japan; it is similar to Marvel vs. Capcom in style and play, so it holds much interest to fans of Capcom fighting games.

Awesome i'll wait for this to tank on the wii so they can bring on the sequel to the systems that have been buying their fighters buy the truck loads...

why don't they just release it without the graphics overhaul?
I don't think any true fighting fan cares that much about graphics more then the game and gameplay itself...
bring the game to the systems where the fans are!!!
huge mistake on Capcom's part. missing out on a cash cow...

@14 Arc Systems no longer owns the Guilty Gear franchise. Sega Sammy somehow cheated them out of the license from what I've read. That's why Blazblue was developed instead of a GG sequel. I'm kinda glad it happened though BB is a gem I wouldn't mind seeing Ragna and co. go up against Ryu and co.

This isn't a big deal to you all because you haven't played/heard of this game yet....but I'll tell you right now; there isn't a fighting game OUT on the current gen consoles that comes even close to being as great as Tatsunoko vs Capcom...SFIV, Tekken, and Blazblue don't even come close...so this news REALLY upsets me, as I was looking forward to slaughtering my friends with Karas and Eagle Ken using a DS3 controller :(...

I think they will gauge how good this game fairs on western markets just to see if their truly is fan base still wanting these vs capcom games...to which the answer is undoubtedly YES! Too many first person shooters nowadays. I MISS THE OLD DAYS!

You know what I always thought would be a good idea? When a VS game comes into play they always have to deal with licensing issues and paying the appropriate people and going through infinite red tape. Capcom and Nintendo went through hades because of all the stupid laws about who owns what when it comes to the licenses in America concerning Japanese properties being translated by numerous companies. I think just to make things simple once they should actually make a game called Capcom VS Capcom (just to be ironic). Capcom isn't hurting for characters and the game would still be awesome due to the sheer number of characters they have at their disposal.
I'm dead serious I know it would sell.

Well, for those of you who do not know, this game BOMBED in JAPAN!!!! on the Wii, Gamers do not care about the Wii so when a game like this can't do well in Japan, the land of the Wii and these characters, it really has no chance in the US and UK.
Old and crusty Marvel Vs Capcom 2 will have more downloads than this game, just watch.
