SEGA has confirmed that the western launch of stylish action romp Bayonetta has been pushed back until 2010.
The game is still on track for release in Japan for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in late October, though unfortunately, westerners will have to wait until next year as a result of SEGA wanting to avoid the Christmas rush.
Mike Hayes, president of SEGA West, commented: “Bayonetta is an extremely important new IP for SEGA and adds a new level of depth to our growing portfolio.”
"As a result of market analysis, we have taken a Publishing decision that January 2010 is the optimum release time in the Western Markets to maximise this exciting new title's potential."
In the meantime, check out the latest trailer of the game here.
