Sony America has announced that it has prepared a whopping 16,000 pieces of digital content available for the U.S. launch of PSPgo early next month.

The hardware manufacturer said that this number is comprised of approximately 255 downloadable titles (that is, a mixture of full PSP titles, PSN exclusives, UMD legacy titles and Minis) alongside 2300 films and 13,000 television episodes.

Among the software available for download at launch includes the likes of Gran Turismo, Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny and God of War: Chains of Olympus. Elsewhere, Sony also confirmed availability of the PlayStation Network Game Card, which allows consumers to download a full game via special code.

PSPgo hits store shelves in North America and Europe on October 1, though it remains to be seen what plans Sony has in store for PAL gamers to accompany the launch its new hardware.

PSP Go looks pretty sweet but no UMD's is fkn rediculous. Plus when this is released, it carries no extra benefits apart from being slightly lighter (who cares). And its going to as expensive as a fkn PS3 aswell.

IMO they should release PSP games on the PSN that will play on the ps3. i dont wanna pay for a psp but i wanna play Peace Walker etc.

So, only around 700 pieces of content for PAL? (16.000-13000-2300=700)

And still no official pricing in Denmark, have heard everything from 1800-3000 DKR, will be picking one up - that is if I can find a place that sells it, many retailers in Denmark is boycotting it due to the high prices and no UMD (meaning they wouldn't make money of the game-sale)

I can get a 3000 Monster Hunter package for £134.99 or pay £199.99(play.com) for a GO with no guarantee that all the games I want will be available for it.  Not a hard decision.

Damage to car seems minimum considering the smack into walls. Also, are those concrete blocks that the car keeps hitting. They seem to be flying around like paper. woops wrong post.

Its surprising how many people are either confused or just simply cant comprehend the purpose of the GO.  If you are complaining about no UMD support you are NOT the target audience!

Whatever. I just took a look at the full tech specs. FAIL. EXTREM FAIL... UBER FAIL.

I planned on getting one till today.

Who wants to fork 100$ for 16gig of memory, an equal or less long battery life (even if we lost the UMD inside WOW)  that YOU CANT remove and swap, a smaller screen and a s h i t t y name?

Heck its a much too high price to pay to be able to fit it in your butt crack. It should have been a minimum of 8 hours of gameplay and 10 of videos. They are going NOWHERE with that. 3 to 6 hours of gameplay LOL... And after one year and 300 or more charges its going to be 1 to 3 hours of gameplay XD  As a salesman I will totally NOT recommend to ANYONE. Just buy the old one with a 16gig memory stick and save your soul.

That piece of crap is only good to pass the borders without beeing noticed. (sry had to get it out. I am very angry at the fact I have been waiting for nothing XD )

Oh and I noticed on the box, its written  PSP GO N-1000 series. So I am gessing 2000 and 3000 are around the corner lol. Ill wait for those to see if Sony became intelligent and released longer battery life systems XD
