The voice behind Tekken’s Heihachi Mishima, Daisuke Gori, has been found dead in a suspected suicide in Nanako, Japan. He was 57.
According to reports, Daisuke was discovered in the street having died from what authorities believe to be a knife wound to his arm. Furthermore, a knife and will were found nearby.
Gori had provided the voice of Heihachi for over a decade, beginning with the critically acclaimed Tekken 3. He also played Edge Master in Soul Calibur and had numerous roles in several high profile games, including Star Fox 64, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops and Ninja Gaiden II.

That's such a shame . It's like the end of an era as I remember Heihachi's voice from way back in the arcades before the first Takken got released on the PSX.

knocturnal81: Way to be insensitive. I guess you would be glad if no one would care if YOU died?
Anyway, this is unfortunate to hear. Perhaps more unfortunate that we may be seeing a report on a suicide. The suicide rate over there is quite serious and still seems to be growing.

He was also the voice of Mr. Satan (a.k.a. Hercule) in "Dragon Ball Z" and "Dragon Ball GT". Man this really sucks :(

@19.
Couldn't have said it any better myself. Love the AC2 reference! Shame about Daisuke Gori.. Tekken still remains my favorite fighting franchise of all time. Hopefully the next one, if there is one won't have a too different voice, like bryans new laugh on tekken 6.....*shudders*

@2 If you don't care, don't post about it. If you do at least care as much as to type 8 characters then be a bit more respectful.
May he rest in peace. I don't usually dabble into voice actors and such but it's always sad to hear of someone's death. Even if his role in the industry was not that big he was still part of it.
