Rockstar posted a Q&A on its website today highlighting questions from gamers via Twitter, Facebook, and other social media sites. The Q&A addressed questions regarding Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire, as well as some general comments about PlayStation 3 owners.
When asked if and when The Ballad of Gay Tony will hit the PS3, Rockstar asked Sony fans to be patient. “All we can say is that we at Rockstar promise to be very good to you with our releases in 2010. Please stay with us and stay tuned!”
As for the Western sandbox game Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar says we can expect a second gameplay video soon. This video will show off the game’s shooting, gunplay, weapons, and natural motion physics.
In addition, Rockstar stated that it will finally have something new to show off about L.A. Noire. The game studio claims that this title will be quite ground breaking and innovative, “both in terms of game’s design and the amazing new technology to support.” We can expect to see a “big cover story next month.”
Finally, Rockstar dismissed complaints about the quality of life issues for some of its employees. The Rockstar rep wrote in the Q&A, “We're saddened if any former members of any studio did not find their time here enjoyable or creatively fulfilling and wish them well with finding an environment more suitable to their temperaments and needs, but the vast majority of our company are focused solely on delivering cutting edge interactive entertainment. We've always cared passionately about the people working here, and have always tried to maintain a supportive creative environment."

Rockstar have said they were disappointed in the number of sales the DLC got for 360, that they were expecting a LOT more to be sold. So, if this is just DLC then that's pretty crappy since it's not that they wanted to be nice to PS3 gamers, it's that it was the only way to make up for the money they didn't make with it being exclusive to the 360.

I'm hoping that "very good to PS3 owners" is both Agent and the GTA DLCs. I like em.

@10... Sam Houser already said the next GTA game won't be on the 360 unless they release a successful medium that stores more data than dvd9. In other words, it wont be on the 360. I think they might give PS3 a timed exclusive on LA Noire, and we'll see it this holiday season.

imagine if the new GTA's were PS3 exclusives, that will send a tidal wave of fanboys over to the PS3, thats a win win situation for sony, lets hope it happens, PS3 offers way more as a system to developers, size and depth of a game been one as mentioned below. i'd love microsoft to go into the sh!t

As much as I would have liked to play the 360 DLC, I'd probably not bother if it were released on the PS3 now. Other games are coming out and I rather play them.
The only thing that will excite me would be an exclusive GTA. I've no problems with multi platform but the 360 is severely limited in this genre of game by the DVD9 medium. Splitting it into multiple disks would be difficult as switching disks to load different islands would be silly.

Too bad this won't help their sales. For treating PS3 owners like garbage for the past few years, do they really think we'll just accept them back into our homes? Especially considering that the quality of their games have obviously diminished since SA. The truth is, R*, that people are already planning to boycott these new games slated only for the PS3. You obviously have no respect for yourselves as developers, or for your once loyal consumers. GTA IV was garbage, the DLC's-garbage, your opinion of your Playstation customers-garbage. In return, plan on many outlets to place your games, in the garbage. I personally don't want your business, and by looking at these previous posts, not many others do either. Like FOXY007 said, GTA is done. And barring a government bailout, which wouldn't surprise me, R* will soon be done. I sure hope that other developers learn not to treat us like crap, because even the biggest will lose in the long run.

I used to hold R* in the highest regard, but not so much anymore. After all the preferential treatment for the 360, I don't have much faith in them anymore. As far as Agent goes, that was a last minute decision on their part. I forget where I read the article, but Sony had a single title deal with them in exchange for relinquishing GTA content exclusivity. And, no, it wasn't for L.A. Noir. When Sony reps popped in one day to see how things were going, what R* ended up offering was an experimental project called "Agent". I'll try to locate the article because I know it sounds far-fetched.

@3 exactly. Also, for them saying, "we promis to be good to PS3 owners" basically tells us they know they were being dickheads to PS3 owners, they were aware of it. Blah, screw this generic company, sorry guys but RS is generic to say the least. They completely snubbed their loyal fanbase, screw them.

Rockstar completely screwed over PS3 owners on 2009..apparently completly forgetting where the GTA franchise started and became a hit. I hope the worst for Rockstar PS3 sales in 2010 and I can only hope that PS3 owners remember this sad year when they walk into a video game store. If Rockstar can sell out for a few million from Microsoft then I can gladly tell them to go F themselves.

I'm not really sure how to take R*'s statement. "I'm sorry I was a d__khead, please take me back- just not yet" kind of a lame a__ cop out. I have to agree with many on here that SA was a better game than GTA4 just by the shear size of it and the many things you could do. GTA4 was just alot of empty space. h e l l the whole story mode could have been done on ONE island! the multiplayer modes seemed like a 'tacked on afterthought' and as for the DLC- it's really starting to show it's age graphic wise. so I recomend that R* put all of the DLC that the 360 got on to 1 disk for the PS3 for $20. it just might sell. other wise who gives a S**T!?

It's great that RockStar aquired the Natural Motion Euphoria engine. I hope they use it in all their games! Hopefully, other developers will follow.
