Take-Two has announced that its critically acclaimed crime romp Grand Theft Auto IV has shifted over 17 million copies globally since its launch in April 2008.
Company bigwig Strauss Zelnick also revealed that the publisher expects the game to enjoy a healthy lifespan echoing the success of its predecessor, which had moved a whopping 21.5 million copies worldwide as of March 2008.
While Zelnick remained tight-lipped over the possibility of a GTA V, he conceded that ‘consumer demand for the series remains to be very strong.'
Strong enough for a GTA V bombshell at E3 next week? We can only hope.
