According to the chaps at Eurogamer, developer Crystal Dynamics is in the process of working on the next major entry in the Tomb Raider franchise, which should be in stores by Christmas 2011.
The site claims that the sequel will be released on PS3, PC and 360 platforms, though was unable to confirm whether or not it would be subtitled ‘Downfall’ as previously rumored.
Furthermore, the report states Crystal Dynamics is currently split in to two teams; a small group of folks who are working on Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, and a second, larger team focused on the core Tomb Raider titles.
Lastly, Eurogamer’s source also confirmed that the leaked concept art and documents (which told of a reboot of the franchise detailing the exploits of a young Lara Croft) that cropped up last July were indeed the real deal, and pertains to the new Tomb Raider game.
