LittleBigPlanet 2 gets U.S. release date, Collector's Edition

Sony has announced that LittleBigPlanet 2 will be released in North America on November 16, and also confirmed that the game will be receiving a special Collector’s Edition release.

Set to retail for $79.99 USD, the CE release will come in “limited” numbers and contains the following goodies:

-A copy of LittleBigPlanet 2
-7’ SackBoy plushie
-LittleBigPlanet game ends “keep your PS3 games in a tidy, organized and ‘Sack-ured” within these unique bookends”
-Stacks of pre-order downloadable content, such as:
Toy Story 3 Aliens costume
Tron: Legacy Clu costume
Muppets Great Gonzo costume
Ratchet costume
Clank costume
-Two exclusive costumes to the Collector’s Edition release, namely Jak and Daxter
-Five LittleBigPlanet 2 avatars for PSN

No word yet on similar plans for European territories, though we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

    Hmm, $20 more.  Worth it.  But why so close to the release date of Gran Turismo 5?  I know they're 2 different games but why release your two big heavy hitters 2 weeks apart?  I think December release date would've been better but I guess they're trying to get the games out in time for the start of holiday shoppping - Black Friday.

    I'll buy it for the sackboy plushie... LBP2 is worth getting a collector's edition for. I really wish they had some making of stuff though.
