Talk about a fast turn over. Hothead Games has revealed that it will release a sequel to DeathSpank in September. The original game was only released this past July, and it was certainly an interesting adventure. We liked the game so much that we gave it an 8 in our review.
According to Kotaku, DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue is slated for release next month. The developer worked on both games simultaneously. Thongs of Virtue will give players about 50 percent more gameplay than the original, and feature new settings and guns. If you were hoping to carry over your progress from the original game, you’ll sadly have to start all over again in Thongs of Virtue.
Look for more two-player co-op locally but no online multiplayer. The game is slated for release on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade on Sept. 21 and Sept. 22 respectively. It will put you back $15 USD.
