Bob Marley's Legend heading to Rock Band

16 September 2010

Bob Marley fans will get a treat, Rock Band style, next week when all 13 tracks from “Legend” hit the game’s music store. This confirms rumors earlier this week that the tracks were heading to Rock Band as DLC. All tracks will be available for download on Sept. 21 in the US and Sept. 22 in Europe.

The release is timed to coincide with the 30 year anniversary of Marley’s last public concert. The “Legend” pack is a prelude to a memorial concert, slated for Sept. 23 in Pittsburgh, for the One Love Foundation. Members of the Marley family will participate in the event.

Ziggy Marley, son of Bob Marley, spoke with MTV Multiplayer about the DLC. He said, "My father was interested in bringing reggae music to the entire world, and now that his music is coming to 'Rock Band,' as the first reggae artist in the game, we are excited to open the doors to reggae music to a whole new group of young people."

Here are the tracks coming to Rock Band next week:

* "Is This Love"
* "No Woman No Cry"
* "Could You Be Loved"
* "Three Little Birds"
* "Buffalo Soldier"
* "Stir It Up"
* "One Love/People Get Ready"
