TedTheDog barks up more Home details

You may recall the update we passed along to you, our readers, around three weeks ago regarding the release of Home v1.0 in Europe. TedTheDog from the official European forum is continuing to update the community on these plans and has released even more information for those anxious users waiting to get into PlayStation's social networking environment.

As of now, it looks as though closed beta members will be the first to experience the v1.0 patch. Details will be given to them via the beta forum (which, as always, will leak out to the rest of us). Following this procedure, more beta members will be invited to experience Home for the first time in order to test the server load. Apparently, the invites will involve non-English speakers for the first time. Then, finally, a date will be announced when the beta will be open to all.

We'll be sure to keep you updated on any new developments.

QORE is a bunch of dirty filthy lies. Beware. Bastards told me that on the new qore episode that the people who subscribed 4 the annual subscription by a certain date (which i did) would be getting a beta invite code. So much 4 that happening. Same thing happened before with the "supposed" resistance 2 beta invites. What a load of bile. I give up on home.

@5  So you just assumed it is Sony, right?  It can't be your account or anything, huh?  See, 'cause I got my R2 invite just like they said I would.  And NO QORE invites have been sent to ANYONE yet, just the people that were selected out of all the people that entered the drawing by downloading the Home theme (remember that?).  Talk about what you know about.

I've been tired of waiting for Home for a while now, it's a good thing Sony made Home free, or else not many people would buy it

Ive never cared for HOME. But everytime some ridiculously stupid piece of information comes out about it i like it even less. Dont get me wrong, ill download it when it comes out, but theyve already turned me off to it.

Hey #6. (There).  Mr. Stanley Butt-kiss posterboy for Sony, if you paid attention to the past articles/updates before then you might have heard about how annual Qore subscribers WOULD be eligible for a home beta invite.  And if any company is professional, then they should walk the talk.

    http://www.psu.com/Qore-Home-Beta-invites-for-annual-subscribers-only-News--a0005233-p0.php

This is twice this has happened to me and a bunch of my PSN friends.  What's the point of subscribing to Qore if they aren't going to forfill what they said they were going to offer.   I downloaded the Home theme the day/hour it came out as I heard about it earlier that morning on PSU and I still didn't get it.  And WTF should it matter about my account?  My account's fine.  I don't have anything wrong with it.  But, I'm not a rich-ass like you and have a chance to DL every little thing that comes onto the PS store.  And if that's what dictates who should get something first, then that's false advertising with Qore.  Mind your own business, I didn't ask for your opinion.

    • 7:34pm GMT - November 15th, 2008

I doubt we will ever see Home, but then I also thought Chinese Democracy would never be released either. Home looks sweet, just wish Sony would address the 80022D11 trophy sync error that many people are getting, it's making some trophy enabled games unplayable.

    • 8:08pm GMT - November 15th, 2008

@12 First off, I'm #6, not #7.  Next, re-read my post.  Where does it remotely sound like I didn't know about Qore subscribers?  Hm?  That's what I thought.  And like I said before, they have not sent the invite to any of the Qore subcribers yet, so chill.  You were complaining that YOU haven't seen it yet, I was telling you that "NO ONE has seen it yet!", letting you know it's not just you.  Now chill (and take a reading comprehension course).

This is news? This has been the same news for almost two years. “Home is coming very soon!” Delayed. “Home is coming after the next closed beta!” Delayed. “Home is coming after another closed beta!” Now the waiting game. How about only posting news stories about some useful piece of f**king information? I’m tired of Home news and “details”, because there worthless information.

It'll be nice when the beta goes public I never go on it, purely on the fact that no one else goes on it either, it's a ghost town atm.

    • 10:53am GMT - November 16th, 2008

This would be more tolerable if sony would stop making announcments every time a line of code for this thing is written. They throw us a lot of words, but effectively say nothing.

  33. Alpha2

    • 11:59am GMT - November 16th, 2008

If they made an announcment everytime a line of code was written we wouldnt hear anything anymore :P.

The fact is they have made some new adjustments but the beta testers hardly get to see any improvments. Multiplayer games, ALL multiplayer games need to launch into a lobby not just into the game. Physics and animation could still be much better.

They announced it waaaay too early. Compared to what it was when we first got in it's completely changed but the things that are important still arnt really there.

  34. Overcast | Gamenificent

    • 3:10pm GMT - November 16th, 2008

I did not mean it literally, i just mean when they announce something like an actual date or estimate they never stick to it or they announce something that boils down to "It exists but we don't know when you'll get it". Give me some info when you know something concrete, annoying sony.
