Electronic Arts has confirmed that it has bought the European release of Dead Space on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 forward to October 24, 2008.
The highly anticipated Survival Horror outing was originally set to a appear in stores on October 31, though fortunately, the project was completed ahead of schedule, meaning console owners can experience the game a week early. PC owners will still have to wait until Halloween, however.
Dead Space pits players in the shoes of a futuristic space engineer named Issac Clarke, who is a member of the organisation the Concordance Extraction Corporation (CEC) Having been assigned the task of locating a missing vessel in the midst of outer space, Clarke soon finds himself fighting for survival against a race of alien creatures known as Necromorphs in the darkened corridors of the lost craft.

I wonder if this game could be real competition to the good ol' Resident Evil games?
psn id: gingo... its good to hear of a game being completed early instead of getting delayed, so for once well done EA
the reason it was completed ahead of schedule is because EA managed to get the cover designers to change the date from 08 to 09 in record time.

This is probably going to be THE FIRST American horror game, that'll actually send chills down your spine.

@8 I think it will contend well with Project Origin.
Good news. I am looking forward to this game. Some how I believe it will be a good one.
