    Happy Birthday man!
  2. A heartwarming interview with Maddow. It's really good because it relates historical events to the events of today that not many people know about:
  3. If you're feeling extra ambitious, HBO has an awesome documentary up on just how much BS the 1% really is pulling on the rest of this country:

    From the article:

WASHINGTON -- The United Nations envoy for freedom of expression is drafting an official communication to the U.S. government demanding to know why federal officials are not protecting the rights of Occupy demonstrators whose protests are being disbanded -- sometimes violently -- by local authorities.

Frank La Rue, who serves as the U.N. "special rapporteur" for the protection of free expression, told HuffPost in an interview that the crackdowns against Occupy protesters appear to be violating their human and constitutional rights.

"I believe in city ordinances and I believe in maintaining urban order," he said Thursday. "But on the other hand I also believe that the state -- in this case the federal state -- has an obligation to protect and promote human rights."
  5. Hey DW

    Some more interesting OWS News!
The republicans are getting very scared of OWS
Also, it's hilarious how out of touch with reality they are, and just how blatantly they're trying to lie to us via that article.

An interesting thing which has been born out of the OWS protests has been the Human Microphone. Because several cities have outlawed the use of loudspeakers for communication in public (some only just as recently as the OWS protests started...shocking), people have taken to using the human mic, which involves two shourts of 'mic check' followed by everyone repeating what the speaker says, so that the whole group can hear them. The best thing has been OWS using the human mic at various speaking events to voice their opinion:

    Michele Bachmann:

    The Department of Education:

    Scott Walker:

Tea Partiers and OWS find common ground:

On a humorous note, Egypt was recently criticized for how they're treating their protesters (pepper spray, tear gas, rubber bullets). Their response? "We are within our rights. Look at how you treat your Occupy protesters."

A stream of other links (there's a character limit to wall posts)
  8. Hey DW, here are some useful OWS-related links:

SA thread that does livestreaming of events as well as general news coverage:

Websites specifically for occupation information and news:

Here's a video of the most recent pepper-spraying incident in UC davis. The officers reason for pepper-spraying a bunch of kids sitting on the floor? They felt "threatened"

    Article from UC president.

Really though there's tons of news out there, but the first two links are great at summarizing it all.

    Keep fighting the good fight!

  9. Hey DayWalker, listen could you please do me a big favor please? I’m entered in this contest to win a copy of FIFA 11 from PSU. Whoever gets the most member votes wins and I don’t have a lot of games and am a big soccer fan so I’d really like to win. All you have to do is go to this link and say you vote for #11. That’s it! Thanks a lot DayWalker! We republicans gotta have each other’s backs right lol

I am stunned that some people appear to love their Playstation(1,2,3) or Xbox(360) more than I love the Denver Broncos.
Trust me, it's sad
