    Ps3 Disc Drive Noise

Recently I have noticed my PS3 Slims disc drive has gotten a very bad rattle/vibration noise every time a game is loading a new section, I thought it was normal but I've found if I tip the PS3 on it's side while the noise is happening the noise goes away and when I put the PS3 back horizontally it comes back.

I get the feeling a bearing is dying/dead, if so what can I do? The PS3 is about 2 years old.

Yeah I've read comments for vacuuming the fan slots which I'm going to try later.

Depends on the game sometimes, for example, Borderlands is a noisy disc game.

A similar thing happened to me recently. Except I've only had it for about 2.5 months. And it just recently happened when I switched from standard cables to an HDMI cable. And it's only when it powers on for a few seconds
Thanks to THUGGEDOUT for the sig, The Black Wolf for the av.

Ordered a stand seeing as the noise doesn't happen when vertical. Just annoying that I have it on top of my TV stand.

My new ps3 slim is pretty loud. My friend has one about a month older than mine and his is noisy too. Maybe I should go vertical and see if that helps.

Well like I said it depends on the game, has it done it with all your games?

Uncharted 3's disc vibrates a lot, as does Mass Effect 2.
    LBP2 seems to be fine.
Ratchet and Clank All 4 One varies everytime I put the disc in.
