So very sad, I couldn't remotely imagine doing something like that to a child...

I wasn't discrediting anything you were saying or pointing out you forgot about women...I was just adding that women also have it very bad over there. And if they're a female and a child, that's just twice the horrible crap they have to endure.

I wonder how do they pick a husband to their daughters, if they even beat them and drive the girls/women into suicide.

I'm sure they're doing a lot of unspeakable things to these women for them to find dousing themselves in gasoline and lighting themselves on fire as a better alternative to what they're enduring every day. I don't even want to think about it. I mean... these are kids that are doing this. It's just terrible.

It's really a shame that there are actually things going on like this in the world we live in. If only there were a way to stop it...

Most of the men they marry them to are over 30 who want to do nothing but inflict immeasurable torment upon the girls. It's a cruel, cruel world out there.

This girl, and Malala Yousafzai* (the girl shot for wanting to go to school) are already more strong willed and brave and many other great things than I. I have nothing but respect for them, especially at their age. They are so articulate and intelligent I am in awe.

They're a credit to the human race.

Didn't Malala even got some kind of nobel peace prize or something?
EDIT: Ah, she was NOMINATED for it, in 2012.

Now this is a legitimate reason to have human rights movements. These are the kinds of issues that need addressing, not some alimony insistent, child support payment demanding, abortion rights garbage we deal with in the west. While the west is concerned with females mooching off men, putting men on the hook for $#@! they shouldn't be on the hook for and killing off the unborn rights, the Middle East is concerned with the marrying off of children, child molestation and abuse and the denial of basic human rights like education and self betterment.

Yemen is known for their bull$#@!. It's actually bad if you tell anyway from the gulf area or any Arab country's that he/she are Yemeni!! it's very bad in Yemen, and the world doesn't know $#@! about half of whats happening there.

The girl is definitely brave and very smart for her age.

But, i'm just gonna say this not in defense or anything, a lot of $#@! happens everywhere, it's just you don't hear about them on the news or on the web like this. Not just in Arab country's but everywhere else.
