Hi guys 'n' gals and anything else that could be reading.

My friend and myself are between bands at the moment. We are finding it real hard as
usual to pick a name, and I was wondering whether any of you had a name you've
always wanted to hear as band name, or just a good idea.

Our music tends to be quite cheerful these days. Still got metal in it, but more diverse
and lots more clean guitar. I quite like the name "Go Lucky".

It's hard for two to decide on any one name, so any ideas would be much appreciated.

Also, as an added bonus, I'll give 5000 points to anyone who comes up with one we
use. As a sub question, do points exist properly anymore? Are they on their way out?

Verbal Arts

I used that when I was into rap battles (I am still a battle God :)), I guess it's not exactly a metal band name though...

Sounds pretty cool actually. We aren't very metal really, and that has a nice ring to it.

Life Option

Raised Free.

Raised Caged

Closed Choices.

I'm no good at this stuff :p
I'm liking the word raise and life. Maybe Raise Life? Some pretty good input. Thanks.

What language is this Vita Abeo? Is Abeo pronounced a-bay-o?

Raise Life sounds good.

It's latin, Veetar abayo.

It means Life Change.

Cool. I really like abeo. Could be a one word name. I'll pitch it to my mate tomorrow.

I'm liking this latin. Ex Machina has always been a fav of mine. It's been so long since
I did Latin though. 12 years or something.

The faux pas.

Irony, eh? eh?
It sure would be ironic if we turned up and played songs we only deemed offensive to
our audience. A bit like Anal **** songs. Swear filter blocked out another word for vagina.

A play on the words Eclectic, Electric and Eccentric.
Eclectic is good. Eclectic is very good.

What about "Lagardor" , make the first R roll from your tongue.
If only I could roll my Rs. Definitely a good metal band name.
what kind of music do you guys play.. tell us. and i think of a few names
I suppose there is a combination of Jimmy Eat World, Biffy Clyro, Kerbdog. Elements of a whole
lot of stuff. We don't have any recordings at the moment, so nothing to hear except old stuff
and failed home recorded new stuff.

that's probably because you wrote it in bold.

I had this problem last week when I had to play with a band at some 'end of school' thing, but we just didn't bother... I don't even know how they introduced us because I was in the toilet at the time, I just wondered onto stage a minute late.

I quite like 'Beef Bucket', because you can't really beat some rubbish alliteration.

A trade mark for that wouldn't be much good since you spelt experience wrong.

I had this problem, and came up with a shortlist of quite a few :-

Extreme Noise Complaint
Overblown
Kibitzed
Krane.

But don't steal them, these are just things that you can expand on,

maybe its just because i love the anime... but i always thought: "The Death Notes" would be an awesome band name. ("notes" implying musical notes in this case)

"Fun in the Sun"
no band name can beat that.
