I dont know all...but i know some:

TEKKEN4,5
BLACK
RESIDENT EVIL4
BURNOUT3,4
SOULCALIBUR2,3
GOD OF WAR
MORTAL KOMBAT (ALL)

Dont remember more...
The only difference is you get a little more detail ( almost invisible) and the game might run a little smoother.

As far as I know the PS2 cannot do any games in 720p.

A 1080i game to add to the list is Dragons Layer.

If you do a search on google there is a site or two that has complete lists for most games for xbox, ps2 and GC(maybe) and their playable resolutions.

it doesnt matter...i just wanted to know what PS2 games do 480p and HD...

i gave up doing a google search for "full list of PS2 games"(or similar)....i get no results let alone try to find all the games for PS2 that support progressive scan.

the xbox has a pretty large number of games that support progressive scan and some i believe even do 720p/1080i if i recall from seeing the back of the case of xbox games....

there must be a very very small number of PS2 games that do 480p or higher..that kinda sucks :( . considering theres over 1,000 ps2 games.

For the record, 480p is not high definition. Gran Turismo was not really HD either. It was "upconverted" to 1080i but all the textures in the game were SD. (Still, the game did look pretty good for a PS2 title  )

Here's a list of al the PS2 games that are 480p Some are 16:9 aswell.

Hope this helps. :)

I don't mean to burst your guys' bubble but...

It lists GT4 as 1080i and I've tried in on 1080i. Looks smoother, but it still looks bad.
I think its quite the opposite, it might not be done natively but the textures look smooth and very well detailed, that was my impression at least. Pretty nice list by the way.

I found that all the jagged lines made for a pretty bad representation of the game. It gave me the same effect as when I was watching regular tv (Standard Definition) on my newer LCD. It made every little imperfection that much more prevalent. I'm probably being a little bit too picky though. I was expecting a lot more than what I actually got.

Although I will agree with you and say that it was quite improved, and the textures looked a lot smoother; it left a lot more to be desired.

Although now that I have finally seen 1080i gaming, it only makes me wanna see more when the PS3 comes out.
